We started on a new project a couple of weeks ago. Hauling wind generator blades from Windsor, Colorado to Manly, Iowa. Around 820 miles, one way. So far the job has been pretty much hurry up and wait. We have managed to miss the snow. Not sure how much longer our luck is going to hold out. It seems to snow right after we leave. It has happened at both ends of the journey. We have, however, had to drive in horrible winds and rain. When we were stopped in Nebraska the other night there was a tornado around 100 miles away, which was the first time Nebraska has had a tornado in the month of February. Luckily, I am not one who is afraid of storms (they actually kind of excite me). The truck rocked in the wind all night long.
I did get a membership to Anytime Fitness which has gyms in both of our stopping places so I have gotten to start working out again. Working out is probably one of the things that I have missed most since being on the truck. I tried to get Chris to work out with me, but he insists that he is already too thin and refuses to work out. I keep telling him that his heart still needs the exercise. Maybe one of these days I can convince him how good it feels to work out. .
Because I have actually been driving (Chris' front escort) I haven't taken pictures on this project yet. And lets face it, there really isn't a whole lot to see going across Nebraska. Although Chris says I need to have it handy to take pictures of tornadoes. He did get me a VERY nice camera for Christmas that I need to have ready.
